What sort of photography do you offer?

At Eve Editorial I create fun, emotion-filled and natural portraits that you will treasure for a lifetime! I provide a wide variety of photography for ever occasion. Whether you're looking for personal branding photography, maternity and newborn photo shoots, family portraiture, couple and engagement shoots or pet photography packages - I have you covered. Where will the photos be taken?

Based in Brisbane, I offer my services from the Sunshine Coast all the way down to the Gold Coast and, of course, I will travel inland to beautiful Toowoomba and the surrounding area.

For family photography, we will discuss locations prior to your shoot. Together we will decide if a fun, energetic home photoshoot suits your family best, or if photos on the beach or laying around in a beautiful park would give you the best images.

Personal branding sessions are carefully designed to be perfectly on-brand for you. Locations are specifically chosen so we can design a shoot that goes with our moodboard and your brand.

Who will my photographer be?

ME! My name is Marigold but you can call me Gold. You can find random fun facts about me on the HOME page or you can check out my about me page HERE and get to know me through a video, some wordy bits and more fun facts. Don't forget to check out our cuddles department (AKA my gorgeous doggos).

What does a photo shoot cost?

I offer a range of different photography services in the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast areas. All the photography services and prices can be found in my HERE.

Can I buy a gift voucher?

How long will the shoot go for?

This depends on the style of photoshoot you have chosen. Each SERVICE has an estimated duration included in the description.

How can I pay?

Eve Editorial accepts payments through secure servers - PayPal, Stripe, EFT bank transfers and Ezypay direct debit payment plans. I do not offer Afterpay.

To pay using PayPal or Stripe, simply add your service to your cart and check out on my website.

How far in advance should I book?

for best results, and to give us both plenty of time to plan, I usually suggest a minimum of 4-weeks. However if you have the family in town and really want to get it done, give me a call on 0405 117 428 and I will do my best to fit you in.

Booking in advance allows me time to do our pre-shoot consultation and create a beautiful experience tailored to how you would like to be photographed. It also allows us both time to source any props or clothing required to perfectly nail the look you are after.

Brisbane-based birth shoots and newborn photography can be tentatively booked up to 8 months in advance. I understand that those new arrivals can be unpredictable so we have some flexibility.

What do I bring?

When you book your photography session with Eve Editorial, you will be sent a PDF that will have a very detailed list about what to bring to your shoot. For each shoot it is a little different, but when in doubt, I usually say bring - everything! If in doubt, pack a suitcase full of outfits that make you feel incredible; including jewels, shoes, several shades of underwear to go under different outfits and your favorite frocks. We will go through it all when you arrive and design those amazing outfits that will photograph perfectly.

Do I need to bring any makeup or hair products?

This is totally personal preference, but my recommendation would be to bring your foundation and your powder so we can blot your skin if we need to. During the warmer months in South East Queensland we can get a "glow" on. I would always recommend bringing your lipstick for on-the-go touch-ups.

I want to do something a little fun and out of the ordinary, is that ok?

Please do! These are some of my favorite requests. I love coming up with new and wonderful ways to photograph different clients. Believe it or not, on one shoot the model was wearing 4 different types of eyelashes in one day! (Ok this was a little extreme). Head's up: if you want something creative that will take an entire day to shoot there may be extra costs involved, but I am always up for the challenge.

I am doing maternity, do I need to show skin?

You will only show as much skin as you are comfortable with! If this is none, then no, you don't have to show any skin, your baby bump included. We will always discuss what you are comfortable with and go from there. This shoot is for you to feel amazing and get what you want out of it. I am here to help facilitate that. Likewise, if you want to be completely nude I am comfortable shooting pregnant mummas in all their glory.

Should I fake tan?

No! Please don't. Whilst I can understand that fake tan can make you feel a little more confident and may look great in real life, it can look orange and uneven in photographs. I will always photograph you in the best light so you don't wash out in front of the lens and then there is colour toning in post production.

As we tend to move clothing around in ways you wouldn't normally wear clothes day-to-day, we will see those lines where the fake tan ends. If you're fully committed to your fake tan, I can fade lines but I will not be able to completely remove them in post-production.

Can I do my own hair and makeup?

Absolutely! You do not need to pay for a professional hair and make up artist unless you wish to. Just don't forget to bring things to touch yourself up with like foundation and lippy through the shoot.

I am not photogenic and I’m super awkward in front of a camera, can you help me?

Absolutely! It is my job and my secret superpower to make you look and feel amazing in front of the camera.

Don't feel like this is only you. It is so common to feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, I guarantee you I will help you forget this.

I believe that everyone is photogenic, there are just plenty of bad photographers. Each body is different, each face is different. The angles that may work really well for one woman will not work at all for another. Having photographed women for years, I have studied the female form and it is always a pleasure to show a woman how amazing she really can look in photographs.

Do you use Photoshop?

Yes, Photoshop is the modern photographer's digital darkroom. To be fair, I mostly use Lightroom because it's quicker and I mostly only do colour toning on my images. Every image that you see in your final viewing has been meticulously chosen and softly edited, to make sure that you are the best possible you that you can be. My retouching is natural and a light touch. I will remove a pimple and adjust things like the lighting. The rest of it we will do with professional posing in camera. I do not do extreme editing in post production.

How long till I get to see my final images?

I endeavour to have all images edited for your viewing within 2 weeks of your photo shoot. For personal branding we will discuss any hard deadlines you may have. For families, we will organise a viewing session at the end of your session and this is when your images will be ready for.

All prints ordered at your viewing will take 2-6 weeks from the time the order is placed, depending on the season (for eg. Christmas printing times can blow out a little as it gets very busy).

How can I show my friends and family?

We encourage you to bring your loved ones to your viewing session. We want them to love your images as much as we do. If you have family that are interstate or overseas, I will be able to create them an online gallery after your viewing session is complete.

I don't want printed photos. Can I buy digital images only?

Absolutely! All my packages are inclusive of digital images. Please check out the SERVICE that you're after and there will be more information about what is included.

Why should I get my prints through Eve Editorial?

Eve Editorial has sourced an amazing Australian-owned and operated printer that only works with professional photographers so that all the printing is the highest quality.

All your images are printed on archival quality paper and framed with quality woods and glass. This is especially important in humid places as frames without glass can cause your photographs to buckle and warp in the humidity. Your prints are designed to be handed down to the next generation as family heirlooms, standing the test of time.

Can I tailor the image packages to my needs?

Like everything I'm happy to tailor my packages for you. We understand that no two families or businesses are alike and your needs may be different to what I have outlined on my pricelist. Please contact me HERE to discuss your individual needs further.

Can I buy just one or two images?

You sure can. There is no pressure to buy any of the prints if you don’t want to. Maybe you just wanted digital images, I'm ok with that. Just know it is my job to make the images so beautiful you won’t want to leave without them printed on your wall to look at every day :)

Tell me about your referral program...

Referrals mean everything to a small business like mine. Having you send your friends and family to me is humbling, so I created a referral program, to show you that love in return.

For every friend you send my way you will get $50 studio credit. You will have your own special coupon code so when you come to book in for your next shoot I can see straight away how many credits you have accumulated and deduct it immediately off your shoot cost.

But that's not all. Your friend will also receive $50 off their shoot, just for knowing you.

Can you hold a date for me?

Unfortunately I cannot hold dates for clients without taking a deposit, as we may be turning away other work for these dates. Once you have filled out your booking confirmation form and paid for your package, your date is locked in. For this reason your package fee is also non-refundable as I have been holding a date for you and may have had to turn away other clients.
